Lincoln's Off-Leash Parks

Here in Lincoln, we currently have four options for off-leash parks.  Each park offers its own special amenities that dogs love, including large open areas to run and chase tennis balls, trees and landscaping to explore, and small dog areas where our smaller friends can interact with other dogs their size.

Rickman's Run
70th & Van Dorn Streets

Also known as Holmes Lake Dog Park, Rickman's Run is located on the east side of 70th street between Pioneers Blvd. and Van Dorn Street in southeast Lincoln.

Amenities
  • 26 total acres of fenced off-leash play area
  • 2 acres of fenced small dog off leash play area
  • Improved and unimproved walking trails
  • Large mowed natural and seeded grass areas
  • Mixed areas of flat and uneven terrain
  • Large, mature deciduous and evergreen trees
  • Antelope Creek and wetlands area
  • Some areas are left to naturalize and are not mowed
  • Large parking lot
  • Covered area and portable restroom near main entrance
  • ADA Accessible and Handicap concrete parking spaces

Roper East Dog Run
N. 7th and Adams

Amenities
  • 4 acres of large dog off- leash play area
  • 2 acres of small dog off-leash play area
  • Covered restroom near run entrance
  • Ample Parking
  • Water fountain (Seasonal) for Humans and Dogs
  • Improved walking trails
  • Wide open flat spaces for dogs to run and stay in sight
  • ADA Accessible and Handicap concrete parking spaces
